Eugene graduated with a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Cardiff University, UK. Not content with a 1^st degree, he enrolled for a Masters in Law (LLM) with UWE, UK to further his appetite for legal knowledge. He is a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, London and was called to the Bar of England & Wales on 25^th November, 2010.

Upon returning to Malaysia, Eugene chambered at Messrs Skrine & Co. He was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 20^th April, 2012. Upon being called, he joined Messrs PC Choong & Co. first as an associate where he quickly learned the ropes to be an efficient and competent litigator and was soon made a partner of the firm having proven his ability to independently handle complex commercial, corporate and employment cases. Having quickly accumulated vast experience in a broad range of civil, corporate and commercial litigation and an envious track record of successful outcomes, Eugene is also sought after as both adviser and counsel for commercial and employment matters as well as insolvency (winding up and bankruptcy) disputes, landlord and tenancy disputes and even contentious probate and property disputes. He has represented clients at all levels from the Magistrates’ Courts to the Federal Court. In addition, he also advices and acts as counsel for CIPPA and arbitration proceedings. A notable case is the reported Court of Appeal decision of Chen Kong Theatres Sdn Bhd (In Liquidation) & Ors v. Lee Giok Tee & Anor where he had had successfully persuaded the panel to strike out the appeal on the ground that the Notice of Appeal shall have been served on the liquidator of the wound-up company, apart from the petitioners/respondents.
